March Motivation


Wow, it's hard to believe how quickly the year is going by. It's already March and I just remember celebrating New Year's. With that said, I've noticed that I need a big little kick in the pants when it comes to getting into shape and what better place to share some motivation than this blog!

I let the holidays come and go and just haven't gotten back into a workout routine. I mentioned in an earlier post that being sick twice in a month brought me down and that paired with the fact that I literally dread going to the massively overcrowded gym, has made me feel less than stellar about my body. I miss all of my runs outside, in the crisp, clean air and the gym just doesn't do that for me. I've always had a love/hate relationship with working out; if I wasn't getting exercise from doing a sport I loved, then I didn't see the point in doing it. Last year however, I signed up for a half marathon and it definitely changed how I worked out completely. Just going on my daily runs made me happy. I don't think I've ever experienced the euphoric "runner's high" that many people talk about, but I do feel happy when I'm running and definitely afterwards. Now that daylights savings is this weekend, I'm ecstatic about the extra sunshine and opportunities to get outside and work on my fitness. Even I know that I'm a better version of me when I look and feel good. What do you do to stay healthy and happy?
