Detox Challenge



This past weekend my husband and I decided we are going to do a one month "detox" from all alcohol beginning today. We eat pretty clean and healthy all week and don't drink alcohol on weeknights, but when the weekend comes around, we find ourselves indulging and sometimes a little too much. I think it will be nice to hit the reset button on our bodies and feel better overall. Nothing is worse than waking up on Monday feeling totally guilty about everything we over ate and drank during the weekend.

With my birthday coming up in a couple months, I want to lose a few pounds that I'm sure have something to do with my wine consumption (I love a good bottle of Pinot Noir). The Nike Women's half marathon in San Francisco is coming up this fall as well, so with not drinking on the weekend, hopefully my running pace will improve over the next month. All of the cocktail recipes I've pinned on Pinterest will just have to wait another month to try out.

Happy Cinco de Mayo to all of you celebrating today! I had my last Cadillac margarita yesterday afternoon, so I don't feel like I'm missing out today. Here's to the next 30 days!
