Case of the Mondays

It was ridiculously warm and humid this past weekend and without air conditioning, those temps can be a bit brutal. On Sunday, a tropical storm hit our area, complete with lightening, thunder - the works. Pretty scary considering the surfers and beach-goers out all weekend. However, I have to say the rain was much needed and it was a nice change of pace to break up our typically sunny days.

The husband and I spent the weekend relaxing, visiting with friends and managed to throw in a little retail therapy. He scored some basics for him at H&M and I bought this gorgeous sleeveless dress that I absolutely do not need, but know I will wear repeatedly. I love the mustard yellow color, which I typically steer clear of. However, this dress is very flattering for us big-busted ladies and the material is high quality. We ended our weekend with brunch at a cute local eatery called Beaumont's. I had been there one other time, but my husband hadn't. There were so many yummy choices, but we both settled on ordering a Benedict of some sort and I have to say it was one of the best that I've had. The hollandaise sauce was light and flavorful and the eggs were perfectly poached. I'm already thinking about the next time we can go back!
