High Five For Friday

Considering my short work week the previous week, this week actually went by pretty quickly. We have a house guest from England staying with us and then my best friend is flying in this afternoon for a belated birthday celebration weekend. This is what I was up to this week:

1. I was so in love with the toiletries provided by Parker Palm Springs this past weekend. They were a brand I've never heard of before, Moonshine, and the shampoo and conditioner made my hair so soft. Needless to say, I took all of the extras home with me.

2. My work sales team attended the Del Mar Opening Day for horse racing to support our morning news live broadcast on Thursday. It was fun to see everyone all dressed up in their fanciest attire and the women's hats were outrageous. I told my husband we need to go for the full day next year just for the experience.

3. It was nice to start of my 30's the right way: with a few good runs. After taking some time off, it felt good get my legs going again - the view is not too bad either.

Home sweet home.

4. I took a whole week off of drinking coffee and I can truly say that I didn't miss it. However, I'm drinking an iced coffee right now as I type this. Go figure. Old habits can be hard to break.

5. I can honestly say that my weekend away was the most relaxing ever. I came back from Palm Springs more refreshed feeling than I ever have coming back from a vacation. I think those getaways will become a mandatory routine for me a couple times a year.
